Home Support

Support at home, confidence for life

Home should be a place where you feel confident, organised and in control. Our Home Support service focuses on building the everyday skills that make independent living easier—from preparing meals and managing household routines to budgeting, and life administration. We work alongside each person at their own pace, providing support that develops confidence while encouraging greater independence over time.

Home Support for Young Adults

Everyday moments that make a difference

Home Support is built around the small, practical moments that shape everyday life. That might mean cooking a few simple meals together, reorganising a bedroom to make it easier to keep tidy, creating a weekly cleaning routine or learning how to manage the grocery shopping.

These everyday activities become opportunities to develop new skills, solve problems together and build habits that last long after the support worker has gone home.

Some days that means learning something new. Other days it means providing encouragement, creating structure or simply being there to help someone regain confidence after a difficult week.

  • Confidence: By learning practical skills through everyday experiences, young adults become more capable, self-assured and confident in managing life at home.
  • Emotional wellbeing: Having a trusted support worker alongside can reduce feelings of overwhelm, provide reassurance during difficult periods and create a sense of stability when it’s needed most.
  • Quality of life: When everyday tasks become easier to manage, there’s more time and energy to focus on the things that matter most—whether that’s work, study, relationships, hobbies or simply enjoying life at home.

What we help with

How we support everyday life

From daily routines to meal prep, household tasks and practical life skills we are here to help.

1

Meal Preparation & Nutrition

We work together to plan meals, prepare simple recipes and develop practical kitchen skills. Support can include grocery shopping, meal planning, food preparation and learning how to make healthy choices with confidence.

2

Household Tasks & Home Organisation

Keeping a home organised can make everyday life feel less overwhelming. We assist with light household tasks while helping young adults develop routines and organisational skills that make it easier to maintain their home independently.

3

Everyday Routines

Daily routines create structure, reduce stress and make life more manageable. Whether it’s establishing a morning routine, keeping on top of household responsibilities or creating habits that stick, we work together to build routines that suit each person.

4

Shopping & Community Errands

From grocery shopping to collecting prescriptions or running everyday errands, we help participants build confidence in planning, decision-making and completing these tasks as independently as possible.

5

Budgeting & Life Administration

Managing bills, appointments, emails and paperwork can quickly become overwhelming. We help create simple systems for budgeting, organising life administration and staying on top of everyday responsibilities.

6

Medication Prompting & Healthy Habits

We provide medication prompting in line with each individual’s support plan and help establish healthy daily habits. Whether it’s remembering medication, planning meals or creating routines that support wellbeing, our focus is on building consistency and independence.
